The Fairfield Falcons tallied 12 of their runs in the fifth inning Thursday during a 19-3 Northeast Corner Conference blitz at Prairie Heights. Freshman Zach Newcomer had four of the Falcons 21 hits.

The Westview Warriors rallied with four runs in the top of the seventh inning to defeat Churubusco, 5-4, in Northeast Corner Conference action Thursday night.
Westview junior Chris Miller drove in the tying run when he was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded. Sophomore Zac Mishler drove in the go-ahead run on a fielders choice.
Senior Adam Christner (5-1) was the winning pitcher. He entered the game in the fourth with a runner one first base. Christner retired all three Churubusco hitters he faced in the bottom of the seventh.
