The Goshen High School baseball Redskins continued on their hot streak Friday with an 8-0 Northern Lakes Conference win over the Concord Minutemen at Dunlap.
Junior Spencer Oversen pitched a complete-game five-hitter for GHS, striking out one and walking three.
Senior Jordan Short, juniors Oversen and Ethan Hussey ripped doubles for the Redskins. Short also singled while seniors Jake Drudge and Josh Ortiz both singled twice
Senior John Sevison, Drudge, Short and Oversen drove in runs. The Redskins played another errorless game.
Goshen, 10-7 overall and 8-3 in the NLC with eight consecutive league wins, has six games next week.
The Redskins host Wawasee on Monday, entertain NorthWood on Wednesday with a suspended game to be completed before the regular, host DeKalb on Thursday and play a Saturday doubleheader at LaPorte.
Goshen’s junior varsity edged Concord, 4-3.
Troy Pickard pitched a complete-game three-hitter and offensively had three hits and an RBI. Jordan Grise had two hits and Scott Landis was a defensive star at second base.
