Special prosecutor appointed for LaGrange County town clerk case

LaGRANGE — The case of theft filed against former LaGrange Town Clerk/Treasurer, Michael D. Rowlison has been turned over to a special prosecutor.

Acting as special prosecutor, Tom Wilson of Angola will be reviewing the two felony charges of theft and official misconduct filed against Rowlison by the Town of LaGrange and the Town Attorney’s office last week.

Rowlison was arrested Nov. 13 after local police had searched his home, with his permission, and found items allegedly belonging to the Town of LaGrange.

Charges and court dates may be set by Wilson’s office after he reviews the case.
