Goshen musicians competing in Bands of America event

The Goshen High School Marching Band played at 8:45 a.m. today in the Bands of America Grand Nationals Semifinals at the Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.

Band director Tom Cox said the group was named one of the top 30 marching bands in the country after performing Thursday in Bands of America competition.

“Our kids are fantastic and we are so proud of them,” Cox said Saturday afternoon. “We are very fortunate to be here. The kids were at Circle Mall and now we’re being together as a group, which is awesome. It’s a very good day.”

At 5 p.m., the announcements will be made for the top 12 bands and if the Goshen band is named, it will play again tonight.
