Kris Kristofferson to perform at Lerner Aug. 10

Tickets go on sale Monday

ELKHART — A onetime Highwayman is headed to downtown Elkhart.

Country musician Kris Kristofferson is scheduled to perform at The Lerner Theater, 410 S. Main St., Aug. 10. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and the show starts at 7:30.

Tickets go on sale Monday at 10 a.m. They’ll be available online at www.thelerner.com, by phone at 574-293-4469 or at the box office located at Main and Franklin streets.

During his career, Kristofferson has been inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame and the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame. He’s won three Grammy awards, as well as a Golden Globe for Best Actor for the 1976 film “A Star is Born.” Kristofferson was also part of the group The Highwaymen, along with Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings and Johnny Cash.

Kristofferson’s most recent album, “Feeling Mortal,” was released in January. It’s his first collection of new material in four years.
