Menno-Hof to host volunteer reunion May 19

Located in Shipshewana, Menno-Hof offers a place for visitors to learn about the faith and life of the Amish and Mennonites. In 1986, with the help of many volunteer workers, Menno-Hof had an old-fashioned barn-raising to build the structure that houses the Amish-Mennonite story. The facility opened in May of 1988.

To kick off a year-long celebration for Menno-Hof’s 25th anniversary, a reunion has been planned for people who have volunteered at Menno-Hof any time from 1988 to the present. The event will be May 19, beginning with a program at 3 p.m. at Shore Mennonite, Shipshewana, followed by refreshments at Menno-Hof at 4 p.m. Register by Monday.

To register, email info@mennohof.org or call 260-768-4117.

Menno-Hof is located at 510 S. Van Buren St., in Shipshewana and offers interactive tours with hands-on activities for the whole family. Gift shop features handmade items crafted by local Amish and Mennonites. Menno-Hof is a non-profit organization operated by a board of Amish, Beachy Amish, Conservative Mennonite and Mennonite Church USA members. www.mennohof.org.
