One arrested in New Paris home invasion

The Elkhart County Sheriff's Department has made an arrest in the robbery that occurred in the 71000 block of Ind. on Nov 4. 

Jeffrey Ramon Hill, 43, Winona Lake, has been incarcerated at the Elkhart County Correctional facility on a preliminary charge of armed robbery.

Hill is alleged, with another subject, to have forced entry into the home of Donald and Beverly Neer.

Donald, 82, suffered a fractured neck and may have to undergo facial surgery according to his daugther Alisha Long.

Detectives have been working on leads since the incident and took the suspect into custody today. 

The investigation has been submitted to the Prosecutor's office with a request for formal charges.  Further investigation into any other individuals involved is ongoing.  Any questions regarding the case should be directed to the Elkhart County Prosecutor's office.
