New look for Bethany auction

GOSHEN — Bethany Christian Schools is hosting its 20th annual auction Friday to raise funds to lower tuition costs for all Bethany students. The format and schedule of this year’s event is all new.

The live and silent auctions and dessert buffet begin at 7 p.m. in the high school gym with the preview starting after school at 3:30. This year there will not be an evening meal or children’s activities. The new theme is “One Sweet Evening.”

There will be a variety of desserts and Electric Brew coffee and specialty drinks.

Door prizes will be given away. The grand prize is a $200 Hyatt gift card. People must be 20 years or older and present to win.

Donors have once again given items to the live and silent auctions.

Items include: South African safari, Maui condo, Mackinac Island getaway, canoe, Honey’s Frozen Yogurt, lawn mower services, headphones, bike, Dana J’s/Mattern’s gift certificates, pottery, Foamiture, bus packages, Rock Run Ranch beef, recliners/executive desk chairs, Notre Dame football and basketball tickets, scaled models, handcrafted furniture, golf, limestone, and much more. Plus there are more than 100 silent auction items and 90 gift certificates.

The public is invited to attend Friday’s auction at Bethany Christian Schools, located at 2904 S. Main St. in Goshen.
