Goshen field named for deceased player

The Goshen Stars Soccer Club Board of Directors has approved the naming of Field 2A at the Goshen Memorial Soccer Park at 20792 CR 36, Goshen in memory of Jeremy Gallegos.

Jeremy Gallegos, son of Hector and Cristina Gallegos passed away Nov. 17. He was a fifth grader at Prairie View Elementary School, Jeremy’s motto was “Just be Happy!” He was active at school, at church and in sports, playing both baseball and soccer with the Goshen Stars. He was a joy to be around and many will miss him on and off of the soccer field.

A capital campaign has been initiated in the amount of $25,000. Funds raised will be used to maintain the field and complete some infrastructure projects for the Soccer Park.
