Goshen residents turning to sandbags to stem flooding

---- — The city of Goshen has sandbags available for residents who are experiencing flooding.

The sandbags are available at the street department garage, 475 Steury Ave. Those who pick up the bags will have to fill them with sand themselves, according to the department. A large pile of sand is available at the street department.

The bags will be available from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays.

A department employee said six residents and businesses had already picked up bags Thursday morning.
