Mercy Road to perform

“Mercy Road,” one of the teams serving with the Gospel Echoes Ministry, will be presenting a concert at 6 p.m. Sunday at the Townline Mennonite Church.

Mercy Road Team is led by Jon and Karleen Sommers along with their children Alexi and Tyler. The team started touring in the summer of 2011. Jon sang with the New Life Team in 1998 and Karleen is the daughter of Jim and Ellen Eigsti, Goshen. The Eigsti family served with Gospel Echoes Northwest for many years.

Adam Lehigh, vocalist and piano player, along with guitarist Dustin Miller also serve on the Mercy Road Team. Krista Knepp serves as nanny for the Sommers.

Since 1976, Gospel Echoes has been sharing the Gospel by sending teams to prison and providing discipleship materials for prison inmates. Townline Church is located at 2165 S. 1000 West, Shipshewana.
