Detectives arrest Goshen man for alleged bomb threat

GOSHEN — A man who allegedly threatened to plant a bomb in the New Paris area Monday was taken into custody this afternoon by Elkhart County sheriff’s detectives.

At approximately 2:50 p.m., police arrested 53-year-old Walter Glasgow at his home in the 66000 block of U.S. 33 on a charge of false reporting, a Class D felony.

A statement from Elkhart County police reads, “Though the investigation revealed no actual threat to the community, the sheriff’s department takes a strong stance in holding those accountable for making false threats that disrupt the community and its resources.”

Glasgow was incarcerated in the Elkhart County jail.
