During that time more than 1.7 billion booklets in 341 languages have been printed and sent free of charge to thousands of distributors worldwide.

A couple of events have been scheduled to celebrate this accomplishment.

An open house is set for 2:30 to 4:30 Saturday, Oct. 19, at WMP headquarters, 19168 C.R. 146, New Paris. Equipment will be running and refreshments served. (The last tour begins at 4 p.m.) Adjacent property purchased this year has increased production capacity, WMP officials said.

The 52nd anniversary celebration carry-in dinner will take place later that evening at Maple City Chapel, 2015 Lincolnway East (U.S. 33) in Goshen.

Reservations should be called in to 574-831-2111, ext. 227. Doors open at 5 p.m. Special music begins at 5:30, followed by the dinner at 6 p.m.

Dick Eastman, international president of Every Home for Christ, will share about “The Power of a Single Seed” and EHC’s strategic partnership with World Missionary Press during the past 20 years.

EHC has planted more than 3.25 billion gospel messages home to home in 216 nations, with more than 116 million follow-up responses.

Special music will feature The Mountain Anthems A Cappella Chorus. Hailing from the Allegheny Mountains, its 40-some singers come basically from one Mennonite church in Salisbury, Pa.

Harold Mack, elected as WMP’s new president by the board of directors on Sept. 14, will be commissioned.

World Missionary Press Inc. has been producing an average of more than 6.3 million Scripture booklets, Bible study booklets, salvation coloring books and New Testaments per month, all for free distribution around the world. The work is done by more than 660 volunteers from 101 churches.
