Navistar sells RV division, Wakarusa plant to lose 520 jobs

A business acquisition will result in the loss of approximately 520 jobs in Wakarusa.

Navistar Inc. officials said Thursday that Allied Specialty Vehicles (ASV) has purchased Navistar RV assets. The sale includes the manufacturing operations for Navistar’s Monaco and Holiday Rambler brand motorized RVs in Wakarusa and for Navistar’s R-Vision and Holiday Rambler towable units in Harrisburg, Ore. ASV has also entered into a multi-year leasing agreement for Navistar RV’s Elkhart facility.

The sale does not include Bison Coach, Navistar’s horse trailer manufacturing business.

The Goshen News will have more in Friday's print edition.
