GOSHEN – Dominick Siclari promises there will be eye candy for car lovers at today’s Cruisin’ Reunion.
Siclari – the general manager of The Toy Barn, a luxury and exotic car dealership in Goshen – plans to bring several of The Toy Barn’s finest cars to showcase at the First Fridays event.
As of press time, he hadn’t decided exactly how many cars he would bring, but said he planned on bringing an orange 2008 Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera, a white 2010 Maserati GranTurismo S, a black 2010 Audi R8 V10 and a 2014 Porsche 911 S.
“We’re super excited to be part of it,” Siclari said. “It looks like we’re going to have really good weather, so we’ll be able to really get some hot rods out there. Some good eye candy.”
While Siclari said there isn’t a real culture of racing at The Toy Barn, he did say that on a race track, drivers of these vehicles would have a good time.
He said all of the cars he named can reach speeds approaching 200 miles per hour, and could “comfortably” hit 180 on open roads.
He said several of the cars in his shop could be taken to do amateur time trials without any modifications to the car itself.
“There’s a lot cars we sell that you wouldn’t have to do any modifications to,” he said. “You can just go have some fun with.”
But for Siclari, it’s not just about how fast these super cars are. It’s about something more.
It’s about a driving experience.
“The thing to keep in mind is, in terms of speed, at some point, they’re all fast cars,” Siclari said. “At some point, it comes down to things other than the speed. That certainly is something that is fun and attractive with a lot of our cars, but they do a whole lot more than just go fast.
