---- — The Goshen Rotary Club Board named John Yoder as Honorary Rotarian of the year for his vision and action 25 years ago to connect the city of Goshen, town of Middlebury and town of Shipshewana with a trail along an old, abandoned railroad corridor known as the Pumpkinvine.

According to Rotary officials, “To accomplish this undertaking John established a volunteer organization known as the Friends of Pumpkinvine Nature Trail, who have a shared public space where people can interact on a human scale, where it’s possible to talk to friends as you ride, walk as a family in nature and ride to work off road. To that we say ‘Job well done, John Yoder!’

One thousand dollars was presented by Goshen Rotary to Rotary Foundation for John Yoder to be named a Rotary Paul Harris Fellow.

The Goshen Rotary Club Board also named Dr. Brett Weddell Rotarian of the Year.
