Board hires new principal for West Goshen

GOSHEN — A new principal, Ryan Cinniger, will greet West Goshen Elementary School students when school resumes this fall.

The Goshen Board of School Trustee’s approved hiring Cinniger Monday night.

GCS Superintendent Diane Woodworth recommended Cinniger as the candidate for the principal’s position being vacated by Alan Metcalfe.

“Based upon our selection activities, Mr. Cinniger demonstrates strength in instructional leadership, data analysis and decision-making as well as in working with adults to build a strong, positive culture for teaching and learning,” Woodworth said. “He demonstrates passion and ‘heart’ for students and the mission and vision of education.”

His experience includes five years as an assistant principal and four years as an athletic director for Indianapolis Public Schools.
