Book sale set at GPL

Photography class

A photography class with Guy Thompson is set at the library Saturday at 1 p.m. The class is free, but registration is required. To register, call 260-463-2841 ext. 1030.

Book club

The Second Saturday Book Club is scheduled to meet at the library Saturday at 11 a.m. This month, the club will be discussing “A Moveable Feast” by Ernest Hemingway.

Genealogy

Volunteers from the LaGrange County Genealogy Society are available in the library’s genealogy section Wednesdays to assist the public with family history questions.

Preschool Story Hour

Preschool Story Hour will take place Nov. 11 and 12 at 10:15 a.m. in the Wakarusa library meeting room. Children ages 3 to 5 years old will hear a tale about a foolish coyote. Registration is required.

After-School Special

“It’s a Puzzling World” is the theme of the After-School Special set for Nov. 12 at 3:30 p.m. Children are invited to enjoy pantominoes, tangrams, mazes and other activities. Participants will create a set of tangrams to take home. Registration is required, and the program is open to any student in kindergarten through fifth grade.

Lapsit

Lapsit will begin Nov. 13 at 10 a.m. Children ages 15 months to 2 years old will hear stories and share in an activity with their accompanying caregiver. Registration is required.

Class offered

An “Introduction to Word Processing” session will take place Nov. 12 at 6:30 p.m. Participants can learn to create a document, add clip-art to a document and more. Registration is required to attend.

Memorial book

“The Hoosier Mama: Book of Pies” by Paula Haney is given by the Wakarusa American Legion Auxiliary in memory of Evelyn Greene.

Dial A Story

“The Hole in the Closet” is the Dial A Story selection for this week. Hear this tale by calling 862-4441.
