Golfers aim to raise fence money

LoveWay fundraiser set for Aug. 19 at Elcona Country Club

BRISTOL — The second annual Gallop for the Green golf outing benefiting LoveWay will take place Aug. 19 at Elcona Country Club.

This year’s event has been termed “Gallop for the Green a Swing for the Fences.” The goal is to raise money toward replacing all of the pasture fencing on LoveWay’s property. The organization hopes doing this will create a safer environment for students, staff, volunteers and horses.

The event begins at 11 a.m. with a buffet lunch served at Elcona and a 1 p.m. shotgun start.

Cost is $500 per foursome before Aug. 5 and $600 per foursome after that.

LoveWay has been serving children and adults with special needs for 40 years at their facility located in Middlebury and all proceeds from the event will benefit the center.

Information about LoveWay can be found at www.lovewayinc.org

To register a foursome or to get information on sponsorship opportunities, contact Aimee Miller at LoveWay at 574-825-5666 or info@lovewayinc.org.
