Shooting at Dunlap bar leaves one dead

DUNLAP — One man is dead after a shooting at Gemini Bar & Grill in Dunlap early Friday morning.

Police were called to the establishment, located at 23845 U.S. 33, around 2:54 a.m. in response to a “shots fired” complaint, according to an Elkhart County police press release. Officers found three victims with gunshot wounds, one fatally wounded.

The deceased man was identified Friday by his tattoos as Cordero Williams-El, 25, of Elkhart, according to the release. An autopsy determined cause of death as a gunshot wound to the chest.

The investigation is ongoing, and the names of the other victims have not been released yet.

Anyone with information about the shooting or suspect are being asked by police to contact the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department at 574-533-4151.
