Fun With Old Books' contest planned

Toys for Tots

The library is collecting new toys for needy children in the Wa-Nee community. A “Toys for Tots” box has been placed in the entryway to accept new toys for children from ages toddler through teen. The gifts will be distributed by the Family Christian Development Center on Dec. 14.

Lapsit

Lapsit will take place Wednesday at 10 a.m. Children and their caregivers will hear a story and participate in a time of sharing. Registration is required.

E-reader

E-reader classes are scheduled Thursday at 6:30 p.m. and Friday at 2 p.m. Each session is designed to offer participants the opportunity to examine the iPad, Kindle, Kindle Fire, Sony Reader, Nook, Kyros 7 tablet, Ematic tablet and HansPad.

A brief discussion will take place about E-readers and tablets. Participants will have time to examine each device. Registration is limited to people ages 13 and older.

Memorial book

“Fenton Burmese Glass” by Debbie Cole is given in memory of Erma Frye by the Wakarusa American Legion Auxiliary.

Dial A Story

A rabbit learns that Thanksgiving is a time of sharing in “Old Man Rabbit’s Thanksgiving Dinner.” Hear this tale on the Dial A Story line by calling 862-4441.
