Santa’s Mailbox

Children wanting to write a letter to Santa can mail their letters in the library’s special mailbox located in the Children’s Services area. Letters can be mailed today through Dec. 14.

Donations Wanted

The Friends of GPL welcome your donations of books, magazines, DVDs, music, and more. Inquiries should be made to the library circulation desk at 533-9531.

Mother Goose Monday

The event will take place today at 10:30 a.m. in the Schrock Auditoruim. Mother Goose Monday Nursery Rhyme Time is nearing the end of the Fall session. This program features stories, songs, fingerplays, rhymes and play activities. Bring your baby and enjoy the fun. The program is free and no registration is necessary. Recommended for ages birth to 2 years.

Crafty Bandits for Teens

The library staff is asking for help in upcycling the library’s old magazines by creating paper beads and turning them into jewelry. The program takes place Nov. 25 at 6:30 p.m. and is open to teens in grades 6 through 12. Learn more by calling the library at 533-9531.

Catching Fire Trivia

Test your knowledge of Catching Fire and win a chance to see the film with other library teens on opening day Friday. Visit the display in the GPL Teen area, complete the trivia page and turn it in for your chance to win. Six lucky winners will be drawn on Wednesday. This contest is open to teens in grades 6 through 12 only.

Storytime Express

Storytime Express sessions are set for Wednesday and Thursday at 10:30 a.m. Stories and a craft activity about Thanksgiving are featured this week. This program is free and recommended for ages 2-5.
