Gilsinger Implement part of new company

GOSHEN — Fillmore Equipment, Gilsinger Implement, and Howard and Sons have merged to become GreenMark Equipment Inc. As GreenMark Equipment, the John Deere dealership group will have 16 locations in southwest Michigan and northern Indiana, including the Goshen Gilsenger location.

“All three companies have been successful, but fast-paced changes in the agriculture and turf industries mean we have to use resources wisely to remain stable and keep growing,” said Ken Timmerman, an owner of Fillmore Equipment. “By coming together as one company, we’ll continue to be at the forefront of the industry. Our dedicated employees are what made these companies successful, and we’re excited that GreenMark now has a team of over 400 people.”

GreenMark officials said the new company will benefit from improved efficiencies, broader availability of talent, streamlined facility and operating costs, and increased employee investment.

The company also said customers will see economic benefits and increased convenience including:

• Greater parts availability, service, and support

• Training and support in advanced technology

• Greater selection of equipment inventory

• Access to GreenMark’s network of community dealerships

“It’s a new company with the same great people,” said Paul Gilsinger, an owner of Gilsinger Implement.

Mark Howard, an owner of Howard and Sons, said, “It’s a great opportunity for us. GreenMark Equipment will remain a family-owned company with a local focus, benefitting from the resources of a larger dealership. It’s a win-win for the community and our staff.”
