Authors at library
New York Times bestselling author Shelley Shepard Gray and author of Amish-themed fiction Vannetta Chapman will give readings from their latest books Wednesday at 7 p.m. Copies of their books will be available for purchase.
The theme this fall of the “Let’s Talk About It” book discussion series is “Muslim Journeys: Connected Histories.” The first featured book will be “When Asia Was the World” by Stewart Gordon. Steven Gerencser of Indiana University — South Bend will present the lecture Sept. 24 at 7 p.m. Patrons are invited to stop by the library to register and pick up the first book. A beginning computer class is set at the library Sept. 17 at 6:30 p.m. Registration is required.
The Wakarusa Library Board of Trustees will meet at 7:45 a.m. Friday. The meeting will include a public hearing on the proposed 2014 library budget.

The next meeting of the Nappanee Public Library Lego Club is scheduled for Sept. 19.
Children ages 5 and older are invited to participate the third Thursday of every month at the library from 6:30 to 8 p.m. This month’s building challenge is “School Daze.”
No registration is required, and parents are invited to stay and participate. Children younger than 8 must be accompanied by an adult. All materials will be provided.
