Hage to sign sewing book

GOSHEN — Cheri Hage will be at Better World Books from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday signing copies of her new book, “The ABCs of Sewing.”

For the past 15 years, Hage, a Goshen resident, and her husband, Rick, have produced and distributed pincushions across the United States, so writing about sewing is a natural extension.

A synopsis of the book says that the book is full of serious sewing terms with an entertaining twist. The first section of the book gives amusing tongue-in-cheek definitions of basic sewing terms and equipment. These sassy definitions are based on decades of crafting, quilting, sewing and collecting by Hage. Actual definitions of the terms are found in the glossary at the end of the book. Sprinkled throughout are vintage graphics.

The book is a 90-page paperback in larger print.

For more information about the book and the author, go online to www.OodlesofPincushions.com.

The website for the book is http://oodlesofpincushions.com/abcs-of-sewing.html

Also available for purchase at the book signing will be craft-themed earrings and a variety of tomato and finger pincushions.
