House fire displaces two Goshen families

GOSHEN — A fire damaged a Goshen home Saturday morning displacing two families.

Goshen Fire Battalion Chief Scott McDowell said five children were in the home at 307 S. Seventh St. when the fire started and they all got out safely.

Firefighters received the call for help at 7:43 a.m. and had the fire out in about 45 minutes, he said.

No injuries were reported.

McDowell said the fire is under investigation and that it mainly damaged the attic of the home but there was not a damage cost estimate yet.

He said that the two families living in the home were being assisted by the Salvation Army.
