Fire extinguished at home

Elkhart Township firefighters were called to a fire at 20358 C.R. 138 south of Goshen and between C.R.s 21 and 19. The home is owned by Daniel Stahley and caught fire Friday morning. The fire was contained to the basement, according to Elkhart Township firefighters, but there was smoke damage throughout the home. No one was at home when the fire broke out and a cause is being investigated. Harrison Township firefighters assisted.
