THE GOSHEN NEWS

A crash on Mishawaka Road in Concord Township and another mishap in northern Michigan have claimed two lives.

A crash early Sunday morning in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula killed a Goshen man.

According to Michigan State Police, Eric D. Johnson, 37, was killed in a rollover crash in Portage Township, Mackinac County, at 1:43 a.m. on H-33, north of Curtis.

Johnson was thrown from the van he was driving after it struck a utility pole. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two passengers in the van, Joanne Johnson and Craig Woolsey, of Goshen, were taken to Helen Newberry Joy Hospital in Newberry with serious injuries.
