SYRACUSE, Ind. — A methamphetamine lab was raided and three people were arrested Thursday night by Syracuse police and the Kosciusko County drug task force.
Officers responded to a report of a strong chemical odor in the area of 605 N. Dolan Drive. During the raid, police determined that an active meth lab was operating and it was in the mid-range of the cooking process, according to Syracuse Police Chief Tony Ciriello.
Three people were arrested and charged with operating the meth lab within 1,000 feet of the Syracuse Elementary School. The offense is a Class A felony.
Arrested were Jeffrey A. Secrist, 52, 605 Dolan Drive, Vickie L. Ninemire, 31, 210 E. Greenhaus Drive, and Heather Moggo, 36, 201 E. Greenhaus Drive.
The three were booked into the Kosciusko County jail.
Chief Ciriello said in a prepared statement that the investigation is continuing and more arrests are expected.
