Circus, concerts to entertain
LaGrange County 4-H Fair gets under way Saturday

This weekend marks the beginning of the LaGrange County 4-H Fair.
The fair kicks of at 8 a.m. Saturday and runs through July 19.
Along with exhibits and projects, there will be a petting zoo and pony rides, plus the Star Family Circus and Thrill Show going on all week.
Other events will be as follows:
Saturday
• Star Family Circus and Thrill Show — 4, 6 and 8 p.m. shows.
• ARMA Mower Racing contest at the grandstand at 7 p.m.
• The LaGrange County Queen Contest at 7:30 p.m.
• Fireworks at 10 p.m.
Sunday
(Free parking after 6:30 p.m.)
• 10:30 a.m. — Cycles registration for motorcycle fun run at Lakeland High School.
• 1 p.m. — 4-H all-terrain vehicle demonstration at the grandstand
• 1 p.m. — Classic car show in the parking lot north of the community building.
• 1:30 p.m. — Motorcycle fun run.
• 3 p.m. — Pedal Pull in the pavilion
• 4, 6 and 8 p.m. — Star Family Circus and Thrill Show.
• 4 p.m. — Parade
• 5:30 p.m. — Kali Rose will perform at the grandstand.
• 7:30 p.m. — Worship service at the grandstand.
Monday
• 1 to 9 p.m. Bear Hollow Log Statue Carving Demonstration south of the community building.
• 4, 6 and 8 p.m. — Star Family Circus and Thrill Show.
• 6:30 p.m. — Cowboy Mounted Shooting Demonstration.
• 7 p.m. — Music by Cook & Belle (free)
• 7:30 p.m. — Trotting bred races at the grandstands (free).
Tuesday
Senior day — Senior citizens will be admitted for free from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
• 10 a.m. — Farm stock tractor pull at the grandstand. Tickets are general admission, $8; pit passes, $15; 4 and younger, free.
• 3 p.m. — Paint ball
• 4 p.m. — Rocket fly at the track
• 6 and 8 p.m. — Star Family Circus and Thrill Show
• 6 p.m. HSTPA tractor pull at the grandstand. Tickets are: general admission, $8; pit passes, $15; and 4 and younger, free.
• 7 p.m. — Dance Etc. will perform on the portable stage.
Wednesday
• 4, 6 and 8 p.m. — Star Family Circus and Thrill Show.
• 6 p.m. — Garden tractor pull on North Drive.
• 7 p.m. — The Magic of Kevin Heller on the portable stage
• 7:30 p.m. — Bull riding contest at the grandstand. Tickets are $10, or $5 for children ages 6 and younger.
Thursday
• 4, 6 and 8 p.m. — Star Family Circus and Thrill Show.
• 7 p.m. — JLO Supercross racing at the grandstand. Tickets are: general admission, $8; pit passes, $25. Children ages 4 and younger will be admitted for free.
• 9 p.m. Teen dance at the pavilion.
Friday, July 18
• 1 p.m. — Several contests will get under way, including a frog jump (contestants must take their own frogs), paper airplane fly, Putt-Putt contest and cricket spitting contest.
• 4 p.m. — 4-H tractor contest in the north lots.
• 4, 6 and 8 p.m. — Star Family Circus and Thrill Show
• 6 p.m. — The Fords on the portable stage. The event is free.
• 7 p.m. — Nationwide Demolition Derby at the grandstand.
Tickets are: general admission, $8, and pit pass, $15. Children ages 4 and younger will be admitted for free.
July 19
Free gate admission
