Police seek chase suspect

ALBION, Ind. — Noble County officials are asking for the public’s help in finding a suspect who outran police in a chase that started at about 10 p.m. near Albion.

According to a report by Sheriff Gary Leatherman, Deputy Shane Coney attempted to stop the driver of a vehicle he clocked at 95 miles per hour on Ind. 9. The driver turned east on Baseline Road and fled from the deputy.

Police chased the vehicle into Albion and then back south on Ind. 9 into Whitley County, where deputies in that county joined the chase.

At one point, the car left the road and hit an embankment at C.R. 75 East in Noble County. Police recovered a plastic molding they believe is from a silver or gray Honda car.

Anyone with information about the vehicle or driver may contact Noble County officials at (260) 636-2182 or CrimeStoppers at (8000 431-2330.
