For the first time, the public will have an opportunity to visit the Eli Lilly estate gardens on Lake Wawasee during the 10th annual Down the Garden Path Garden Walk Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The Lilly gardens are one of nine that will be featured in the Syracuse, North Webster and Lake Wawasee area this year. The Kosciusko County Master Gardeners and the Purdue Extension office have partnered with the Syracuse-Wawasee Garden Club, the Syracuse-Wawasee Trail Committee and the Wawasee Property Owners Association for this event.
Tickets are $15 for adults and children and can be purchased at The Cottage Gardener, Todd Realty and Lakeland Fitness Center, all in Syracuse or Clayton’s Garden Center and Ace Hardware in North Webster. A limited number of tickets are available. Tickets include detailed driving directions, descriptions, garden photos and tips for a successful walk.
All gardens will feature master gardener or garden club experts who will provide information. A guided tour will be provided at the Lilly estate. The walk will take place rain or shine.
