Goshen girl dies from crash injuries

A second victim of an auto accident Tuesday died Thursday at a South Bend hospital.

Bethany L. Curton, 17, Goshen, a passenger in a car driven by James K. Scott, 24, 610 N. Greene Road, died Thursday afternoon at South Bend Memorial Hospital. Scott died Tuesday evening when the car he was driving crashed at C.R. 36, east of C.R. 15 just before 11 p.m.

Curton suffered internal and head injuries.

It is believed the pair had been at their church, the Apostolic Pentecostal Church, before the Tuesday accident.

Bethany is the daughter of Pastor Michael Curton of the church. Her mother Annette is the church’s music director. She recently graduated from the Concord High School.
