Linway Plaza Cinema will host the premiere of “Elsewhere,” a thriller starring “Twilight” star Anna Kendrick.
According to Elaine Ehrlich, co-producer of “Elsewhere,” the premiere is open to the public and will start at 8 p.m. Thursday. There will be only one showing of the film, which was made in Goshen in 2006, and movie theater costs apply.
Ehrlich said because the premiere was organized on such short notice, none of the stars will be at Linway. But Ehrlich will be there along with some of the local crew members.
Kendrick is busy filming the sequel to “Twilight,” “The Twilight Saga: New Moon.”
“Elsewhere” focuses on Kendrick, who plays Sarah, a girl whose best friend, Jillian (Tania Raymonde), disappears after chatting online with men. Sarah believes something bad has happened to Jillian, while others in this small Indiana town think she’s simply run away with one of her online romances. Sarah enlists the aid of another friend and together they piece together what happened to Jillian.
The movie has a few familiar faces in it. Along with Kendrick and Raymonde, there’s TV star Paul Wesley (he was on this season of “24,” was a main cast member in the science fiction series “Wolf Lake” and has made appearances on “Everwood,” “American Dreams” and “Army Wives”) and Jon Gries (Roger Linus in “Lost”).
Rounding out the cast are Olivia Dawn York, Chuck Carter, Jeff Phillips and Shannon Holt. The movie was directed by Nathan Hope and was co-produced by Vince Palomino.
According to Ehrlich, the film was purchased by Koch Entertainment and will be released on digital video disc and pay per view on June 2.
