Two injured when car leaves road

THE GOSHEN NEWS

A Goshen driver was flown to a South Bend hospital after he suffered a head injury in a crash at Ind. 15, south of C.R. 126, at 9:24 a.m. Wednesday.

According to a report by the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department, Tyler L. Spicher, 20, 124 N. Clinton St., Millersburg, was driving a 2003 Buick LeSabre north on Ind. 15, south of C.R. 126 when he lost control of the car and went off the west side of the road.

The car struck a utility pole, telephone junction box, two trees and a 2000 Mercury Cougar parked at a home at 60735 Ind. 15.

Spicher had a head injury and was treated at Goshen General Hospital for treatment.

A passenger, Joseph J. Aitken, 19, 405 Crescent St., Goshen, had a leg injury and a head injury. He was also flown to South Bend Memorial Hospital for treatment and was admitted. No condition report was available this morning.

Damage was estimated at more than $10,000.

The crash remains under investigation.
