Fairfield guard ranks fifth in state

— The Fairfield Winter Guard, consisting of 16 members, received a fifth place out of 26 state finalist guards at State Finals March 15 at Center Grove High School, Indianapolis.
The ranking was a personal best for the Fairfield Winter Guard.
There are 60 winter guards in Class A in Indiana.
The name of the Fairfield show was titled “Hero’s Code.”
The music is derived from the soundtrack “Unbreakable” by James Newton Howard.
Tiffany Neilson and Samantha Kolakowski are the two seniors in the Fairfield Winter Guard. They have been in the guard since seventh grade.
At state finals, Kolakowski received a college scholarship due to her scholastic achievement, community involvement and membership in a state finalist winter guard program.
