WAKARUSA, Ind. — The fourth annual Wakarusa Bluegrass Festival will take place on the grounds at 66425 Ind. 19 June 14 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Some of the performers for this year’s festival include: Audie Blaylock & Redline, Sandy Paul and Raisin’ Corn, Clyde Carr & The Michiana HymnTymers, The Virginia CrossTies, Rick Prater & The Midnight Travelers, Tommy Webb Band from Floyd County, Ky., and Up and Running Bluegrass Band.

A Sunday morning church service is planned, followed by an “Open Jam.”

There will be tents on site for the comfort of attendees, and there will be a variety of food vendors. Attendees should take their lawn chairs.

For the first time, there will be 10 acres of primitive camping available.

Alcohol or drugs are not permitted at any time.

All proceeds again this year will go to Christian Family Development Center of Nappanee.

The corporation’s purposes are to preserve and promote traditional American bluegrass and gospel music and to benefit the service of the community through education.

The festival was co-founded by Ed Tom and the late Mel Schrock.
