Lions to host Feather Party tonight

CROMWELL — The Cromwell-Kimmell Lions Club will hosts its annual “Feather Party” on Friday, Nov. 16, 2012, at the Cromwell Community Center.

The family-friendly event is named for the many turkeys that will be given away during the evening. The party is a fundraiser for various projects of the club, including scholarships for West Noble High School students.

Bingo games will be played, along with other chances to win frozen turkeys and other good things to eat. Concessions will be sold and a bake sale offered.

It’s a free admission event in a smoke-free building. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the first game is played at 6:30 p.m. The event will end between 8:45 and 9 p.m., and the public is invited.
