Dan’s Fish Fry andbake sale Saturday

The public is invited to Union Grove Church (formerly Union Center School) Saturday for Dan’s Fish Fry from 4 to 8 p.m. There will also be a bake sale.

Carry-outs will be available. Children ages 4 and younger may eat for free. Adult tickets will be $10 at the door; $5 for children ages 5 to 12. Call or text Teresa at 354-7383 to purchase tickets prior to the event for $9.

The church is located at 69954 C.R. 11, Nappanee.


Mercy Road concert Sunday

The Mercy Road Team of Gospel Echoes will be in concert at Riverview Christian Fellowship Sunday at 10:30 a.m. Team leaders Jon and Karleen Sommers travel full time with their two children, Alexis and Tyler, and two musicians, Kendall and Christopher Eigsti. Their primary focus is reaching out to prison inmates through music ministry and a literature program with a network of 700 volunteer Bible study graders.

The special presentation will include gospel music, testimonies and a short video presentation of their work in prisons across the United States and Canada. The public is invited to attend. An offering will be received in support of the prison ministry.

Folk harpist to perform at Clinton Frame

Clinton Frame Mennonite Church will host Eduard Klassen, a Paraguayan folk harpist from Ontario, Canada, at its 10:30 a.m. worship service Sunday.

The church is located at 63846 C.R. 35, Goshen.

Klassen has been playing the harp since 1975 and has performed in more than 3,500 concerts.

He will not be giving a full concert, just a short set during the worship service.


Spring Fling set for Sunday

Members of Osceola United Methodist Church will host a Spring Fling event Sunday from 12:30 to 4 p.m.

Last weekend (July 12) the Goshen Parks Department held its Kid’s Try-athlon to promote childhood fitness and this week (July 18) the new bicycle trail is open to the fairgrounds in Goshen, offering residents a healthy way to get to the annual agriculture exposition.
