GHS Alumni reunion Sept. 4

The 10th annual Goshen High School alumni reunion is set to take place Sept. 4 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Elkhart County 4-H Fairgrounds. A meal will be provided for a suggested donation of $10. GHS grads are encouraged to invite classmates. Younger alumni are needed to get involved and contribute ideas. Those with questions can call Dean Ramer at 875-8291 or Dixie Robinson at 533-4495.

Goshen woman on dean’s list

A Goshen woman is on the dean’s list at St. Olaf College for the spring semester.

Shelby Goudey is a graduate of Fairfield Junior-Senior High School and the daughter of Glenn Goudey and Kimberley .

The dean’s list recognizes students with a semester grade point average of 3.75 or higher on a 4-point scale.

MISHAWAKA

Bethel grads listed

Commencement ceremonies at Bethel College took place May 3. Those who received associate’s degrees include Rosella Heatwole, New Paris; Sabrina Kauffman, Shipshewana; Christine Thomas, Elkhart; and Lindsay Stork, Goshen. Those earning bachelor’s degrees were Leon Coody, Bristol; Jesse Maurer, LaGrange; Kenzie Kurtz, New Paris; Amanda Yoder, Syracuse; Elaina Gillin, Brent Ramer, Erica Schlabach, Lindsay Stork, Jonathan Good, Misty Charles and Lori Martin, all of Goshen. Jonathan Stembel of Goshen received a master’s degree.

Jamie Madison of Elkhart also graduated.

LAMONI, IOWA

Local graduates from Graceland

Alex Roth of Middlebury, Ind., has graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor of arts degree from Graceland University.

Commencement took place May 18.

BLUFFTON, Ohio

Bluffton awards top scholarships

A Shipshewana man was one of two incoming students at Bluffton University who were awarded the university’s full-tuition Presidential Scholarship, valued at more than $110,000 for four years.

The scholarship recipient was Micah Hunsberger of Shipshewana. Hunsberger, the son of Benjamin and Beth Hunsberger, is a 2014 Westview High School graduate. He was a member of the school’s soccer, track and field and Academic Super Bowl teams. He attends Emma Mennonite Church, Topeka.
