---- — FORT WAYNE — The 41st annual Fort Wayne Home & Garden Show will take place Feb. 27 through March 2 at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum.
There will be more than 650 exhibitors showing the latest in contemporary home and garden products and services.
Seminars will be given by home and garden professionals.
Some of the Master Gardeners giving seminars include:
• Local morel mushroom hunter Alex Babich.
• Joey Green, “The Guru of Wacky Uses for Brand-Name Products.” He will share unique home remedies, including how to polish furniture with Spam or scrub a toilet with Coca-Cola at 2 and 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday; noon, 2 and 7 p.m. Saturday; and 2 p.m. Sunday.
• Grilling gurus Mad Dog & Merrill. The plan on entertaining and education backyard enthusiasts on the finer points of grilling cuisine at noon, 3 and 7 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and at noon and 3 p.m. Sunday.
There will also be a special area for the whole family. It is themed “The Jungle Book” and features interactive and educational displays, a petting zoo, adoptable pets, ballet and martial arts demonstrations, plus balloon artists and face painting.
The Home & Garden Show will be open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Feb. 27 and 28; 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. March 1; and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. March 2.
The cost is $10 for adults; $8 for senior citizens age 65 and older and $6 for groups of 20 or more. Children 15 and younger will be admitted free.
There is a $5 fee for Coliseum parking. There are $2 coupons available on website, www.Home-GardenShow.com. Those who take along one canned good will have $1 knocked off admission Feb. 27-28 to benefit Community Harvest Food Bank. This discount is not valid combined with other offers.
