‘Holiday Brunch’ at fairgrounds

The Purdue Extension, Elkhart County Office, and Extension Homemakers are hosting their annual Holiday Happenings. This year’s theme is “Holiday Brunch.”
The program will take place Saturday from 9 to about 10:30 a.m. in the Home & Family Arts Building at the Elkhart County 4-H Fairgrounds in Goshen.
This workshop will include planning and organizational ideas, recipes, crafts, quick and easy decorations and sewing projects to help make a successful holiday event.
Joellen Allison, Goshen, will be sharing craft ideas using pressed flowers.
Maryann Zerbe, Elkhart, will demonstrate holiday arrangements.
Mary Herschberger, Middlebury, will show the group how to make a recycled lighted Christmas tree.
Mary Ann Lienhart-Cross, Extension educator, will share holiday sewing ideas.
Committee members planning this event are chairwoman, Joellen Allison, Goshen; adviser, Theo Outman, Bristol; Patricia Gall, Milford; Mary Herschberger, Middlebury; Betty Lou Kline, Bristol; Mary Mishler, New Paris; and Maryann Zerbe, Elkhart.
Participants need to register for the program by calling the Purdue Elkhart County Extension Service at 533-0554.
The $5 admission fee, which will be collected at the door, will help cover the expense of the program and the booklet given to participants. This program is open to the general public
