There was a day we had to use our brain to add two plus two equals four. If we wanted to change our clocks in spring and fall we had to use our brain to figure out what day — if we go forward or backward. Lots of folks could not figure it out, so here in Indiana we were smart like our livestock and stayed the same. We changed several times, but with confusion we went back the next year.
Now we don’t have to use our brain, cell phones, computers and smart clocks do it. I loved having a phone on the wall, crank on the side, operator saying number please. I miss those days gone by when we had to use our brain for something else besides yackty-yak and clickity-click with modern technology.
