Our creator granted liberty to Adam and Eve, but not as a license to do evil. He required obedience with stated consequences for disobedience. And in Galatians 5:13 the Apostle Paul wrote, “For you, brethren, have been called to liberty; only do not use liberty for an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another” (NKJV). If I saw someone drowning, love would compel me to the rescue, rather than to say, “Just stay there.”
Why is the media so intent with the propaganda of and in the promotion of gay marriage, as in the Dec. 27 guest editorial? One state after another is falling. It is the spirit of antichrist, going against the one who died to save us, whose church is his holy bride. He is our example for marriage. Many who speak out are scorned and shunned, with little tolerance, including ministers and chaplains.
The metaphor, leaven, (yeast) is used in the Bible by Christ and at least one of his apostles. It is to signify unrighteousness and what can happen when it is left to grow. Only about a decade ago, a gay Episcopal priest in New England, who earlier had left his wife and family, was ordained as a bishop. Since that, a number of denominations are following after. “A little leaven leavens the whole lump.” I Corinthians 5:6. Jesus warned that because of wickedness, the love of many would grow cold. Many churches are thinning out. How true the Mathew 24 passage is proving to be.

HJR-6 is bad for Indiana
Resolution time is upon us. Want to stop smoking? Like to lose weight or get a grasp on your finances? Maybe we can pass a resolution to further restrict the rights of some people in Indiana. If this seems strange, maybe you should ask your state senator and representative why this should be one of their priorities in 2014.
