We’re finding out what’s in the ‘dysfunctional’ healthcare act

— I received notice that my healthcare insurance premium is changing due to the rising cost of healthcare. My provider assured me that I’m not being singled out for this increase, the premiums for all customers with similar coverage are being adjusted. Am I surprised? No. Insurance companies are not in business to lose money and someone has to pay for the mandates required by the Affordable Healthcare Act.

I think Congress should rename the Affordable Healthcare Act to reflect what it really is. I propose The Dysfunctional Government Socialist Healthcare Act. The scary thing is that this is just the beginning.

Former Speaker Of The House Nancy Pelosi said we’ll find out what’s in the HCA after it’s passed. Well we’re finding out and Congress isn’t very happy about what it will cost them. President Obama will exempt Congress and their staff from participating. Chief Justice John Roberts ruled that Congress can regulate health care under its ability to tax. That set up the agency to take a lead in implementing the law, along with the Health and Human Services Department. The Labor Department will also play a role.

I pray that the government manages our healthcare better than they have the U.S. Postal Service and the Internal Revenue Service.
