I have watched the progress of this Congress and feel it is one of the least helpful in our country’s life in dealing with the economy, and it is the “Number One” issue of the time.
My thinking is that Congress should remain in session without additional remuneration unless and until compromises can be made to help relieve the stresses our citizens face in the housing and the energy crisis. Do you really know how much the citizens are hurting and do you as speaker even care? It seems to many of us that you all sit in your comfy offices and plan how you can one-up your opponents while we here in the country are suffering.
I don’t believe we would have a strong government if the leaders of our country in the past just let negative things happen without trying to develop compromises. Do you think that you should remain in Congress if you cannot help the citizens of our country? I for one do not think that any of you should remain if you cannot get your acts together and help us solve the housing and energy crises.
