Church appropriate for Diversity Day

“Some people feel that holding Diversity Day in a church defiles the church.” Are you kidding me? Shame on you, Mel Shetler. Shame on you, Goshen Ministerial Association.
It seems to me that any church, temple, synagogue, etc., would feel honored to host such a heartwarming event. Sometimes I cannot believe what my eyes read.
I am so very, very disappointed in those comments. Diversity Day is a great opportunity for us to put away our differences — whether they be cultural, political, religious or any other — and celebrate our “oneness.” I hope it continues forever and that, someday, every day will be Diversity Day.
