Sen. Riegsecker’s service is appreciated

— I read with great interest a letter to the editor, published recently, in which the writer only had negative comments about the candidates running for office. Wow! What an attitude!
I am thankful we have the opportunity to select the person we want to represent us in the government and that there are people who open themselves to the public scrutiny that happens when one runs for public office. Keeping in mind that only in heaven will all things be perfect.
I missed the deadline to publicly support a local candidate, but want to thank Sen. Marvin Riegsecker for his years of faithful service and for being a good example to those who follow. Thank you and God bless!
