The federal, state and even local departments of education could have online courses and videos that could help parents and children with educational needs even when school is not in session and perhaps provide courses and instruction that some school districts do not have the resources to provide.
English as a second language, kindergarten preparedness, remedial courses, advanced instruction, summer school at home, adult education, GED instruction, even state college courses could be provided at less cost to the public but with potentially more access than traditional instruction at bricks and mortar institutions that some will not access.
Online and video instruction, do to the relative anonymity of accessing courses from home, may encourage those that might not seek assistance otherwise, to get it.
