In the Indiana House District 49 Republican contest, Goshen businessman Wes Culver overwhelmingly defeated incumbent John Ulmer, a Goshen attorney.
Culver received 5,409 votes, which was 70.6 percent of the total. Ulmer received 1,876 votes and James Teall of Bristol received 367 votes.
